Charley Hull STUNNED by 16-year-old phenom in Jeddah
England's Charley Hull missed out on her second victory of the season after she was defeated in a playoff by 16-year-old phenom Chiara Noja.
Charley Hull missed out on her second victory of 2022 with a dramatic play-off defeat to a 16-year-old phenom at the final Aramco Team Series event in Jeddah.
Chiara Noja snatched the victory over England's Hull on the second playoff hole at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.
Hull was the overnight leader and carded a final round of 4-under 68 to leave herself on 13-under par.
Noja matched the score and the pair headed to the 18th hole for the playoff where both players made birdies but the young German got the job done on the second playoff hole.
Noja has been touted for a big future for quite some time.
She claimed her maiden professional win at the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge in June 2022. Noja won that event by as many as nine strokes.
Noja ended last season second on the LETAS Order of Merit to secure her card for 2023.
Here in Jeddah, she opened with back-to-back birdies and made a stunning eagle the the par-5 fourth hole.

In the second playoff hole Hull was unable to get up and down after missing her approach long.
Hull returned to winning ways in September when she won the Volunteers of America Classic at the Old American Golf Course.
It was Hull's first victory in nearly six years.
