LIV Golf Tour: Greg Norman reacts after Jon Rahm's "enemy" remark
Greg Norman has reacted to Jon Rahm warmly congratulating Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra after the 22-year-old picked up his first win at LIV Golf Bangkok.
LIV Golf Invitational Series chief executive Greg Norman praised Jon Rahm for his "classy" message in congratulating his fellow Spaniard Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra on winning the controversial series' $25m event in Bangkok.
In comments that will surely ruffle a few of the bosses' feathers on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, Rahm took the time to pay tribute to Lopez-Chacarra for securing his maiden win four months after deciding to turn professional.
Lopez-Chacarra picked up $4.75m for his victory in Thailand, which was a far-cry from the €297,500 an emotional Rahm picked up at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid after he equalled Seve Ballesteros' record of notching three home open wins.

Yet Rahm said: "Although some people want to make us look at them [LIV Golf] as the enemy, he is just a 22 years old guy winning against some of the best players of the world. Congratulations if you see this Eugenio."
Norman posted:
This is what professional golf should be all about. Thank you @JonRahmpga for your classy message. Players supporting players. We are all golfers! https://t.co/S6NWOgwllC

Rahm's comment came in the same week that he suggested LIV Golf players should be allowed to participate in the Ryder Cup.
His viewpoint is contradictory to the likes of Rory McIlroy, who previously expressed that he did not believe players who have joined the breakaway tour should be allowed to participate in the biennial event.
Just this week Sergio Garcia appeared to all but end his chances for a 2023 Ryder Cup selection after reportedly missing the deadline to commit to the Mallorca Open on the DP World Tour.
LIV Golf will play their final two events of their inaugural, $255m eight-event season later this month. They will head to Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia over 14-16 October before the season-ending $50m Tour Championship in Miami at Trump Doral over 28-30 October.
Just this week, it was confirmed that Dustin Johnson has earned an $18m bonus as LIV Golf's 2022 individual champion.
