LIV Golf player STILL earns HUGE payday despite WD at Adelaide event
Sam Horsfield, who withdrew from last week's LIV Golf Adelaide event, still earned a lucrative payday.
LIV Golf player Sam Horsfield's wallet did not take a hit last Sunday despite the fact that he'd withdrawn from the LIV Golf Adelaide event mid-tournament.
Horsfield withdrew from the first Australian LIV Golf event prior to Sunday's final round with an injury. However, he still earned money from the tournament.
Horsfield has been a part of LIV Golf since its inaugural London event last June and has always played for the Majesticks GC. He finished the 2022 season ranked 23rd on the individual points list with his best finish being fifth place at the league's first event.

So far in 2023, Horsfield has started all four tournaments, his best result being a 10th-place finish at the Orlando event that saw Brooks Koepka become the league's first two-time winner.
Despite not completing last Sunday's LIV Golf Adelaide tournament, Horsfield still earned $80,000 for his first two rounds.
Talor Gooch, who won the tournament in wire-to-wire fashion, earned $4m Sunday at The Grange GC for his victory. Dustin Johnson's domiant 4 Aces GC won the team portion of the event, splitting $3m between them.
This week, LIV Golf is heading to Singapore for its fifth event of the seasons and 26-year-old Horsfield has already withdrawn from the tournament.
He will be replaced by Laurie Canter, who's turned into something of a super-sub after playing most of the 2023 LIV Golf season in place of Martin Kaymer.
This week as Horsfield's replacement, Canter will be joining the Majesticks GC roster with Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and Henrik Stenson.
