There’s a new hydropearl finish, which is designed to work especially well in the wet, and four sole options for golfers to choose from.
This is a cavity wedge, designed for a wide range of players.
The new finish is appealing, and will fit well with other PING irons. Even with the cavity, this is a good looking club, that sits nicely at address.
It’s a slightly tear dropped face shape, which may take a little while to get used to.
There's also a stealth version of the club (pictured above) which is blacked out, and looks excellent.
We love the feel of this wedge, which is quite different to many other PING products. It’s a sophisticated feel, pure and full bodied. Not as in your face as other PING irons.
We got impressive levels of spin on both half and full shots. PING say players will get 1,000rpm more from these clubs on wet days compared to the competition, and while we didn’t quite get this amount, we weren’t far off. And that's impressive.
For a cavity wedge, the consistency in yardages is brilliant, which is incredibly important for a scoring club. We were on the number every time - we noticed no difference in consistency with these compared to other Tour style wedges.
Compared to other wedges on the market, the Glide 2.0 has excellent levels of forgiveness thanks to the cavity, which will appeal to lots of players.
We found we were able to control the amount of spin we could put on the ball, which filled us with confidence, especially when around the greens.
The sole options will allow players to get fit into the clubs, allow for optimum performance.
A superb cavity backed wedge, which combines forgiveness and excellent player performance.
While offering help for all golfers, the wedges also provide consistency and great levels of spin.
