Ten of the Best: Fairway woods

NEW! Ten of the Best: Fairway Woods Test 2014

In the fifth of a new monthly Golfmagic Club Test series, we survey ten top-end fairway woods launched within the last 12 months.

About the test

Golfmagic equipment writer Andy Roberts, a 7-handicapper, trialled ten different branded 3-woods in 15-degree, stiff flex. Andy was also joined by World of Golf PGA professional Grant Guerin for a second opinion on each of the clubs.

After warming up for ten minutes, Andy and Grant struck five balls off the deck with each fairway wood. We gathered Grant's opinions on each club's feel and performance and scored them out of ten for appearance, feel and performance. An overall table and conclusion can be found on the final page of the feature.

With each fairway wood, we have also provided details of price, loft, lie angle, length, shaft and grip. The test was carried out in alphabetical order.
