COBRA KING F9 SPEEDBACK Driver wins again as Lexi ends year on high!
Lexi Thompson ends her rollercoaster year on a high with victory at CME Group Tour Championship.
Lexi Thompson ended her 2018 season on the highest possible note as she clinched her first win of the year at the CME Group Tour Championship for her 10th career LPGA Tour title.
Thompson, who moves back to second in the world, carded a final-round 70 to win the tournament by four strokes with a bag of COBRA clubs including the brand new KING F9 SPEEDBACK driver that Bryson DeChambeau also used when victorious yet again in Las Vegas two weeks ago.
Rickie Fowler is another player to have stuck the new driver straight in the bag, and he will defend his Hero World Challenge title with it next week.
While also using a full bag of COBRA clubs, Thompson was dressed head-to-toe in PUMA Golf apparel, accessories and footwear from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.

Thompson had endured a wretched season prior to the CME Group Tour Championship both on and off the course, with a number of personal and family health issues preventing her from playing her best golf.
But like true champions, form is temporary and class is permanent, and playing with a fresh mindset and her brother on the bag for the first time - after recently parting ways with her Scottish caddie Kevin McAlpine, the 23-year-old American continued her trend of winning at least once on Tour every season she has been an LPGA Tour professional.
The F9 driver features COBRA’s breakthrough SPEEDBACK Technology, which, for the first time in golf, successfully combines a highly aerodynamic clubhead shape with low CG.
SPEEDBACK is a game-changing advancement in the way a driver is engineered. The combination of an efficient aerodynamic shape and an engineered weight structure on the sole, improves club speed while maintaining a low, deep CG to create the most efficient transfer of energy to the ball.
Utilising a CNC Precision Milled Face, created using industry-leading face manufacturing technology, allows for a thinner and hotter face design that has shown ball speed increases up to 1.5 mph when tested against a traditional, hand-polished face.
These technologies fuse to deliver the ultimate formula for speed and extreme distance.
