The DP World Tour announced the signing of a new broadcast deal with DAZN in a press release on Friday.
The DP World Tour has enhanced its distribution in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region by agreeing a new media rights partnership with DAZN.
The new media rights partnership will see the global sports and entertainment platform broadcast all tournaments on the DP World Tour.
DAZN now has co-exclusive live subscription OTT rights, alongside Sky Germany.
This week’s Porsche European Open in Hamburg will be the first tournament that is available to DAZN customers as a part of the new deal. The tournament is being played at Green Eagle Golf Courses.
Kalle Samooja is the defending champion.
This agreement has also seen DAZN secure the rights to broadcast delayed highlights of the 2023 Ryder Cup, which takes place from September 29th – October 1st at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome.
The Ryder Cup has been a massive talking point so far this year since the introduction of LIV Golf.
DAZN will also be showcasing features on golf’s greatest team contest in the build up to the biennial event.
