How much Wyndham Clark and others made at the US Open
Wyndham Clark picks up another cheque for $3.6m following victory at the US Open.
Wyndham Clark took down Rory McIlroy to capture his first major title and then collected another whopping cheque for $3.6m at the US Open.
Clark, 29, also won $3.6m when landing his maiden PGA Tour title four starts ago last month at the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.
The American has now amassed just shy of $8m over his last four tournaments on the PGA Tour.
Report: Wyndham Clark wins US Open as Rory McIlroy sees another major title slip through his hands
Not only does Clark vault himself up the world rankings to a career-high position inside the top 20, but he also gives himself every chance of punching his ticket into his first-ever US Ryder Cup team this September.
For McIlroy, it's another agonising finish in a major championship as his wait to pick up a fifth major title goes on.
McIlroy will now turn his attentions to the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool next month, a venue where he won his sole Claret Jug in 2014.
It's unthinkably been nine years since McIlroy last won a major championship.

After coming up shy at the US Open on Sunday, McIlroy said: "I would go through 100 Sundays like this just to get my hands on another major."
McIlroy earned $2.1m for his efforts.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler once again rued a cold putter but he still finished in solo third and earned a cheque for $1.4m.
Scheffler has played in 14 events on the PGA Tour this season and impressively finished no worse than tied 12th in all of them.
Let's see how much they all made at the US Open.
