Masters champion Rory McIlroy and his teammate Shane Lowry are back to defend their PGA Tour title at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana from 24-27 April.
McIlroy is making his first start since becoming just the sixth player in the history of the men's game to complete the career grand slam following his first victory at The Masters last Sunday.
The 2025 Masters champion did not play in the $20m RBC Heritage and instead returned home to Northern Ireland to celebrate his Masters win with his parents, Rosie and Gerry, who were unable to attend at Augusta National.
Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry back to defend Zurich Classic of New Orleans title
McIlroy is once again teaming up with his good pal Lowry at the 2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, and they are red-hot favourites with the bookmakers to defend their title.
Lowry and McIlroy teamed up together in this event for the first ever time in 2024.
They got the job done after seeing off Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in a playoff.
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is the sole team event of the PGA Tour season.
Players compete in rounds of fourballs and foursomes.
Other standout teams in the field for 2025 include Rasmus Hojgaard with twin brother Nicolai Hojgaard, Matt Fitzpatrick with brother Alex Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa with Kurt Kitayama, Thomas Detry with Bob MacIntyre, Aaron Rai with Sahith Theegala, Laurie Canter with Jordan Smith and Billy Horschel with Tom Hoge.
