Tour pro: I'll never forget what Henrik Stenson and Daniel Berger did to me

DP World Tour pro Marcel Siem has shared an incredible tale of how he missed out on playing The Masters by 0.01 ranking points.
Siem, 44, hopped on the most recent edition of the Life on Tour podcast to explain exactly what happened.
The affable German revealed he was sure that he earned his spot into the 2013 Masters after victory at the Trophee Hassan II in Morocco lifted him into the top 50 in the OWGR for the very first time.
As you would expect after the victory, he went on a boozy night out with his wife Laura and his team.
But his hopes were dashed after Daniel Berger and Henrik Stenson both finished strongly at the Houston Open and leapfrogged him in the rankings.
He fell from 49th to 51st.
Stenson played the final five holes in 4-under, whilst Berger concluded his tournament with an eagle-par-birdie-birdie finish.
Siem told the pod he was woken up by a Tour official who delivered the devastating news.
But he was given a lifeline as the PGA Tour offered him the chance to play in the Valero Texas Open so he could try and earn his spot into the field at Augusta National.
The only problem, however, was that he needed to win the PGA Tour event.
He also had to work out how to get from Morocco to Texas ASAP.
Siem managed to make it to the event on time and, got himself into contention heading into the final round. He was only two strokes adrift of the lead.
But he blew it, making a triple bogey at the easiest hole on the course to drop back down the leaderboard.
Still, he finished T10 and picked up a cheque for $155,000, which more than covered the cost of the private jet he used to hot-foot it to Texas from Morocco in his last-ditched bid.
Watch Siem tell the story here:
Siem has been playing professional golf for more than 25 years.
He has racked up more than 550 DP World Tour appearances and won six titles, the most recent of which came at the 2024 Italian Open after he beat Ireland's Tom McKibbin in a playoff.
