The Masters 2025 prize money: How much Rory McIlroy, others won
The Masters 2025 prize money: Check out how much Rory McIlroy won as he finally achieved the career grand slam at Augusta National on Sunday.
Rory McIlroy finally realised a lifetime's ambition by clinching his maiden Masters title at Augusta National.
McIlroy stroked home a three-foot putt to beat England's Justin Rose in a sudden-death playoff to complete the career grand slam.
The Northern Irishman cultivated a comfortable four-shot lead on Sunday but did his best to blow it down the stretch by unravelling at the par-5 13th.
McIlroy hit his third shot in the water from 78 yards and walked off the green with a double bogey.
But he recovered and held his nerve in a playoff despite missing a putt from six feet to win in regulation.
McIlroy collapsed to the ground and wept tears of joy as he claimed the biggest prize of his life.
As ever, there was a huge amount of prize money up for grabs.
Earlier in the week, Augusta National confirmed the 95-man field would be competing for their share of a whopping $21m purse.
It means McIlroy takes home a winner's cheque for $4.2m.
When Scottie Scheffler won his second Masters title 12 months ago, he earned $3.6m.
