Tiger Woods provides update on whether he'll play in TGL and PNC with Charlie Woods
Report: Tiger Woods has provided an update on whether he will compete in both the PNC Championship alongside son Charlie Woods this month and next month's brand new TGL.
Tiger Woods will make an official decision next week as to whether he can compete in the upcoming PNC Championship alongside his son Charlie Woods, but he does still aim to play in his first TGL fixture next month, according to Sports Illustrated's Bob Harig.
Woods, who turns 49 on 30 December, spoke to a group of reporters in a press conference ahead of his tournament hosting duties at this week's Hero World Challenge at Albany in The Bahamas.
It marked Woods' press conference since he addressed the media at his last competitive tournament at the 152nd Open at Royal Troon in July.

Woods is not able to participate in this week's 20-man PGA Tour field as he still recovering from his recent back surgery, the sixth of his injury-plagued career.
Prior to undergoing back surgery in September, Woods was already still recovering from ankle and leg injuries sustained as a result of his horror car crash in Los Angeles in February 2021.
"I'm not physically ready yet to compete at this level," said Woods during his latest press conference.
He added: "I'm just not sharp enough to compete against these guys at his level. When I'm ready to compete I will play."
Woods also fielded a number of other questions about the game, none bigger than players getting paid at the Ryder Cup.
The 15-time major champion believes players on the U.S. Ryder Cup team should be handed $5m each given how much money the Ryder Cup generates these days, but with all money still going directly to charities of a player's choice.
After Woods' 20-minute press conference was over, Harig briefly caught up with Woods on his own to ask about his participation in the annual PNC Championship that he typically targets alongside his son Charlie Woods just before Christmas.
The PNC is a two-day scramble event taking place at Ritz-Carlton GC in Florida from 21-22 December.
Woods told Harig that he is "undecided" yet of his participation at the PNC alongside Charlie and that he will make a decision next week.
Harig also asked Woods about whether he still plans to compete in the first fixture of his brand new TGL next month.
TGL is a new tech-inspired golf league that has been set up by Woods, Rory McIlroy and their TMRW Sports co-founder and CEO Mike McCarley.
Woods, who is the skipper of Jupiter Links GC, is not needed to play until the second scheduled fixture of TGL on 14 January.
Jupiter Links GC will play Los Angeles GC that week.
Woods told Harig of his participation in TGL: "Yes I plan to play, but if it was launching now it would likely be difficult."
New York GC and The Bay GC will battle out the opening week's fixture on 7 January.
Matches will take place at SoFI Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, primarily in prime time on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Six teams each comprising four players will make up TGL for 2025.
