Golf fans trolled American Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley as he turned up to his TGL debut 'looking like Magnum, P.I.'

Bradley made his first appearance in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's new venture on 27 January.

Woods arrived at the purpose-built arena early on Monday clutching a cup of coffee and wearing a pair of blue jeans and a white and black Sun Day Red hoodie.

The big cat was also rocking a cap (backwards, obviously) and a pair of sunglasses.

Shaded McIlroy opted for a simple green shirt with a blue top.

But Bradley?

The mustachioed 38-year-old wore a Boston Red Sox jersey and a Team USA cap.

Of course, social media was buzzing and the most obvious joke was that he looked like Tom Selleck's character in the American crime drama series that was hugely popular in the 1980s.

Here's some comments:

"He looks like a low-level crime investigator"

"Is that Homer Simpson's neighbour?"

"Does he own a taco truck?"

"Fun fact: he was in a 1970s porn film..."

"Are we sure he's not a competitive hot dog eater?"

McIlroy hit the opening tee shot in the match and split the fairway.

His Boston team entered the arena to The Dropkick Murphys' classic anthem 'I'm shipping up to Boston'.

McIlroy even gave a high five to Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai as he made his way into the arena.
