Five reasons (if you needed them?!) to watch Tiger Woods vs Rory McIlroy on TGL tonight
Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf battle Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links GC in the most eagerly anticipated TGL clash of the season.
In the battle of the founders of TGL, Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links GC clash with Rory Mcilroy’s Boston Common Golf in the fourth week of the new tech-infused team golf league at the SoFi arena on Monday night.
First proposed by the two PGA Tour legends back in 2022, ‘Tomorrow's Golf League’ produces an innovative new format that helps golf fans see the game in a different way.
Mcllroy will partner with Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott, while Woods will join Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner.
Regular season TGL matches comprise of three players on each team.
Hideki Matsuyama is therefore sitting out for Boston Common Golf, with Max Homa doing the same for Jupiter Links GC.

Boston Common Golf are heavy favourites for tonight's tussle (4/7) and they will be looking to get their debut night off to a flyer.
Jupiter Links GC, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back from a heavy 12-1 defeat at the hands of Los Angeles GC in week two.

If you are new to TGL, the players will play 15 holes on a giant simulator, utilising both fairway, rough and sand boxes depending on where they end up on a given hole.
Players will then chip and putt out on an actual green.
It's very clever stuff indeed.
The first nine holes is triples (3 vs 3) and the last six holes are singles matches.

The players will once again all be mic'd up too, offering fans an insightful perspective into the sport's emotional and data-driven aspects.
Teams can also use a Hammer on a given hole, and that will double a point depending on the outcome. You could therefore see some big two-point swings every now and then, which adds to the excitement.
The whole match should take two hours.

Not that you probably need any further encouragement to sit down and watch two of the game's greats lock horns in the SoFi Center tonight, but we have come up with five reasons here at GolfMagic as to why you definitely should give Jupiter Links GC vs Boston Common some of your time.
Let's get into them...
We might see Kiz shank another bunker shot?!
It was a shot that drew Tiger and others to tears of laughter en route to a 12-1 loss to LA GC, and it was very much a "one of us" moment! Could we see more wild antics from Kevin Kisner?! Very possibly! If you've not seen Kiz's hilarious shank from sand into the pin and over the other side of the green from week two, make sure you check it out below. What's more, Kiz dusted himself down and nearly holed his following attempt for par. More of the same on Monday night please, Kiz...
Kevin Kisner bladed a bunker shot so hard into the flagstick, he had Tiger Woods in tears.

21 major wins between all the players in action tonight
Yes, 19 of them might be shared between Woods (15) and McIlroy (4) but the other guys in town tonight can play a bit of golf too you know. Bradley is a former US PGA champion and Scott has won The Masters, while Kim and Kisner have a combined seven wins on the PGA Tour. You can certainly expect a high calibre of golf from all six players tonight.
Fast paced, high intensity match with NO SLOW PLAY!
TGL matches, as we say, are fast-paced and last just two hours. The non-stop action eliminates the slower aspects we often see on the PGA Tour, and the big screens keep fans drawn in, almost making them feel as if they are on the links. TGL is also a fantastic way for viewers that are new to the sport to get to grips with the rules and regulations, albeit the Hammer has nothing to do with real golf!

We get to see Rory's latest ball speed and clubhead speed numbers!
McIlroy has apparently been working hard in the gym during the off-season. It remains to be seen whether he's got the new TaylorMade driver in the bag just yet but one thing we can't wait to see is his latest shot data numbers. You could see around 190mph ball speed off the tee from McIlroy. If you class yourself a golf geek, you will love checking out all the latest data on display tonight. It will also be interesting to see Tiger's latest numbers as he continues to build up his reps ahead of a likely competitive return at The Masters in April.
Could Woods' team cause an upset?
McIlroy's Boston Common Golf are warm 4/7 favourites for tonight's clash, while Woods' Jupiter Links GC are 5/4. Woods will certainly not want to go 0-2 to start the campaign, but equally McIlroy won't want to start out with a loss. There will be a great deal of pride at stake between the TGL founders tonight, and it will make for fascinating viewing. Neither player will want to give an inch.
GolfMagic Prediction:
It's hard to see anything other than a convincing Boston Common Golf victory, but as we have come to learn down the years you can never write off Woods. Much will depend on the form of Kisner because it's fair to say he let Jupiter Links GC down in week two with a number of errant shots. But either way, McIlroy, Bradley and Scott should have too much firepower for Woods, Kim and Kisner this evening. We can see at least a four-point margin of victory for Boston Common Golf on their opening night and another loss for Jupiter Links GC.
