PGA Tour golfer and European Ryder Cup star Ludvig Aberg was all smiles as he revealed his knee operation went well.

Aberg had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The young Swede damaged it in May whilst he was working out.

He decided to continue playing through the discomfort and was hesitant to talk to reporters about the true extent of the injury.

"I think that's between me and my doctors," Aberg said earlier in the season when he was asked if it was a partial tear.

Aberg did not seem to be too troubled with the issue as his results since the initial damage were remarkably consistent.

Despite missing the cut at the PGA Championship at Valhalla, he posted four more top-five finishes.

Aberg finished runner-up to Scottie Scheffler at the 2024 Masters.

In the other two majors, he finished in a tie for 12th at the U.S. Open and missed the cut at The Open

Aberg posted a picture of himself wearing a brace on his knee on Tuesday morning.

"The surgery on my torn medial meniscus went well last week, couple weeks of rehab and rest ahead," Aberg said. "Looking forward to be playing soon."

Aberg is expected to make that return at the final two events on the DP World Tour schedule.

If all goes well, he will be in the field for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship over 7-10 November and the DP World Tour Championship 14-17 November.
