Netflix make Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau announcement

Netflix has confirmed a list of 20 players including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau will feature in its upcoming Full Swing Season 3.

After two successful series of Full Swing, Netflix has confirmed it will drop its third series to the world in just over a month's time on Tuesday 25 February. 

That falls in the same week that the new PGA Tour 2K25 video game featuring Tiger Woods goes live. 

Netflix recently confirmed its first season generated 53m hours of watch-time.

That number then dropped to 28m for Season 2.

Full Swing 3 will delve deeper into the lives of a number of big-name professional golfers none bigger than McIlroy, Scheffler and DeChambeau.

The new series will provide greater insight into DeChambeau and McIlroy's clash for the 2024 U.S. Open title.

McIlroy of course squandered his chance of winning a first major in 10 years at Pinehurst as he missed two short putts on the closing holes to hand the title to LIV Golf's DeChambeau, who to his credit got up and down from the front greenside bunker to capture a second U.S. Open title. 

Golf fans are also excited to learn runaway World No.1 Scheffler is featured in Full Swing 3.

Not only because he went on to win nine times around the world in 2024 but also because he memorably got arrested ahead of his second round tee-time at the U.S. PGA at Valhalla.

Not that you need any more reminding about that one but it was the most outrageous incident of the 2024 season. 

Full Swing 3 will also delve deeper into Keegan Bradley's announcement as 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup captain. 

Netflix released in a statement today: 

"Season 3 brings even more drama, with a lens on Scottie Scheffler's history-making run, Rory McIlroy's emotional rollercoaster in and out of competition, Bryson DeChambeau's evolution from anti-hero to fan favorite and Keegan Bradley's quest to write his own redemption arc from last year's dramatic letdown."

Netflix has also confirmed 17 other players will be focused on throughout Full Swing 3.

DeChambeau is the only LIV Golf pro though, and Minjee Lee is the only LPGA Tour pro featured.
