Golf legend Tiger Woods likely to be misty-eyed at latest Charlie achievement

The son of golf legend Tiger Woods was part of a six-man team that competed at the Champions Club in Florida.
Benjamin School Athletics have shared a picture of the boys' team alongside their proud coach Tony Harbeck.
The girls' team was also triumphant. Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai, 17, was also part of that side.
Charlie Woods' career so far
Charlie is now 15 years old.
Golf fans got a glimpse of his swing for the very first time at the 2020 PNC Championship that he competed at alongside his father.
Since then he has played at the PNC on three more occasions.
Their appearance in the parent/child PGA Tour event this December is in doubt, though, as Tiger had another surgery on his back after he missed the cut at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon.
Charlie has competed in several junior tournaments in Florida on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour over the last two years.
His first victory on the HJGT came at Royal Palm Beach where he finished an impressive eight strokes ahead of second place.
He made his American Junior Golf Association debut in May at the Adam Scott Junior Championship where he carded rounds of 73-73-72.
Charlie also competed in a pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic on the PGA Tour.
His appearance there was overshadowed by unruly golf fans who behaved inappropriately towards Charlie.
According to The Palm Beach Post, Charlie was approached by one fan with a copy of Tiger Woods' book and demanded an autograph.
In July, Charlie drew huge crowds when he competed in his very first US Junior Amateur.
He finished on an overall score of 22-over after two rounds.
Charlie had earned his spot in the 264-player field by winning a qualifier by finished near the bottom of the pack at Oakland Hills' South Course.
Tiger was 14 years old when he made his debut in the US Junior Amateur.
During the early 1990s, he won the event a record three times in a row.
When will Tiger Woods play next?
As mentioned, Tiger Woods' schedule is up in the air.
Since he made his comeback from his car crash at the 2022 Masters, Woods' has struggled to play more than a few times a year.
Since his crash, Woods has been restricted to nine appearances in the majors and on the PGA Tour.
He played every single major in 2024 but missed cuts at the U.S. Open, Open and PGA Championship.
Tiger made the cut at The Masters but finished dead last after posting rounds of 82-77 over the weekend at Augusta National.
On 13 September, he confirmed that he underwent his sixth back surgery.
He did not reveal when he would be back in action.
Tiger is down to make his TGL debut next January but has not confirmed whether he'll play the aforementioned PNC in December.
He has also left three spots in the field vacant for the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.
