Sir Nick Faldo has paid an emotional tribute to F1 legend Eddie Jordan.
The flamboyant former F1 team owner turned pundit died in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Jordan, 76, had previously revealed he had aggressive prostate cancer but continued to work.
The Irishman died peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side in Cape Town.
"Sad to hear of Eddie’s passing," Faldo wrote on X.
"It brings back great memories of an incredible day when I was given the opportunity to drive his F1 car.
"Little did I know that on that very day, he was also giving the great Michael Schumacher a test drive."
Faldo added: "Sending love and condolences to his family."
Jordan ran the self-titled Jordan Grand Prix team from 1991 to 2005, winning four races in 250 entries.
He later went on to become a broadcaster and worked for BBC Sport and Channel 4.
Tributes have been flooding in for Jordan over the past 24 hours.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner told Sky Sports he met Jordan when he was 18 years old.
"He was an effervescent character," Horner said. "When I was driving 25 years ago I had a sponsor, Autoglass.
"He was convinced my dad owned the company! So he was always invited to races!
"I met him as an 18-year-old hopeful young driver. The first thing he said to me was: 'Get a good driver, it’s like a piranha club in here'."
Martin Brundle also told Sky Sports he was shocked and saddened by Jordan's passing.
"The sport will be poorer without him because of what he achieved and what he stood for and what a racer he was," Brundle said.
Meanwhile, Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that he will not be going to Jordan's funeral.
Ecclestone told the DailyMail he always knew where he stood with Jordan and were 'close in a strange way'.
"I won't be going to his funeral," Ecclestone said. "I don’t go to funerals
"I may not go to mine. He certainly won't go to mine. So, it's all fair. It always was with Eddie."
