Bob Does Sports botches first interaction with Rory McIlroy: 'Such a f****** idiot!"
Robby Berger, frontman for Bob Does Sports, takes to social media to reveal he just botched his first and possibly last interaction with Rory McIlroy while at the gas station.
Robby Berger, frontman for Bob Does Sports, has revealed he completely botched his first ever interaction with Rory McIlroy while at the gas station earlier today.
As McIlroy was getting fuel, Robby thought he would roll down the window in his car and ask the four-time major champion if he would fancy joining him for a video on his Bob Does Sports YouTube channel.
So he did just that.
Only McIlroy's reply was not exactly what he was looking for to say the least.
Bob Does Sports has just shy of 1m subscribers on YouTube.
The channel has attracted a number of big-name PGA Tour players recently, none more so than World No.2 Xander Schauffele.
But despite being one of the most successful golf YouTube channels out there in 2025, McIlroy replied saying he had never heard of the channel.
If that wasn't tough enough for Robby to take, his final words to McIlroy probably ended any future chance of him appearing on Bob Does Sports.
"Thanks for all you do for YouTube," Robby said to McIlroy before quickly turning red and pulling up his window.

"I'm such a f****** idiot," said Robby of his interaction with McIlroy at the gas station.
"Just ran into Rory McIlroy at the gas station down here in Jupiter, pump 4 Exxon Mobil.
"I saw him and immediately my brain just went to I'm going to get him on Bob Does Sports.
"It never occurred to me that maybe this guy has no f****** idea what Bob Does Sports is.
"The guy's trying to win majors, probably doesn't have time to watch three ass clown see how many donuts they can eat in nine holes.
"I just rolled down the window and said 'Hey Rory, we'd love to have you on the show sometime.'
"He was a deer in headlights, so I asked him did he ever hear about this Bob Does Sports?
"He said no. I didn't really know where to go from there. It's like an accountant pulling up next to him and saying 'Hey Rory we'd love to come by the office sometime.'"
"I then said 'Well thanks for all you do for YouTube, Rory'. I meant to say golf, said YouTube.
"Bet your bottom dollar you'll never see Rory McIlroy on the show. Who the f*** do I think I am?
"So now I'm now drowning myself in chicken tortilla soup cos that was a miserable interaction and it's all self-inflicted.
"That guy has gotta be thinking what a fucking jerk off and he'd be right."
To Robby's credit, he has tagged McIlroy in his latest video post so who knows, maybe he'll see the funny side of it and partner with him soon!
McIlroy has just returned home to the United States after finishing T4 at the Dubai Desert Classic.
The Northern Irishman will compete in his first TGL match next week.
McIlroy's Boston Common Golf will clash with Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links GC on Monday 27 January.
The World No.3 will then make his first start of the 2025 PGA Tour season at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Thursday.
