Golf fan tries his luck with Charley Hull but gets rejected at US Women's Open
LPGA Tour superstar Charley Hull has revealed a spectator at Lancaster Country Club asked her out on a date during the 2024 U.S. Women's Open.
LPGA Tour superstar Charley Hull has revealed one spectator tried to ask her out on a date as she played the 2024 U.S. Women's Open.
Hull didn't claim victory at the major championship but was undoubtedly the star of the show at Lancaster Country Club.
In fact, it wouldn't be unreasonable to suggest she became a bit of a cult hero last week, owing to the fact she went viral for smoking cigarettes.
She cracked up spectators when she offered this response after being told: "Rip that thing."
Hull also revealed she 'hates smoking' and only does it to help her relax when she feels a bit stressed.
Slow play also causes her to rip darts.
After finishing in a tie for 19th, Hull told reporters that she thought the fans were incredible.
She would like the atmosphere to be replicated at each and every major.
Hull, 28, also revealed one spectator tried it on with her.
"It's been crazy," she said. "The fans have been shouting my name this week.
"Someone said I'd dropped something and then handed their phone number in my hand on a piece of paper in my hand and I thought that was funny.
"It said, 'Here's my number, text me so we can figure out where I'm taking you for dinner tonight."
Hull said she 'obviously' didn't text him. "But it was just so funny," she said.
"But yeah, it's been a bit of a wild week [and] pretty cool. I wish the crowds were like this more often."
