Golf commentator apologises for slip of the tongue F-bomb during last event
LPGA Tour commentator Morgan Pressel has apologised for her language during the Women's Olympic Golf Tournament.
LPGA Tour commentator Morgan Pressel has apologised to golf fans for her colourful choice of language during the third round of the Women's Olympic Golf Competition.
Pressel, 36, let slip what sounded very much like an F-bomb as she watched Canada's Brooke Henderson hole a birdie putt and march excitedly off the green.
She didn't mean to drop a naughty word but it just came out wrong, according to Pressel.
"Yeah, let's give Brittany a little fist pump," former LPGA Tour player Morgan Pressel said during the LIVE Olympic Golf broadcast.
"She is f---ing fired up! You love to see it."

Pressel has since apologised to viewers, even though many golf fans were loving her passion during the broadcast.
"I just want to take a moment to acknowledge something that I said during the broadcast," said an apologetic Pressel.
"I stumbled over my words and unfortunately it sounded as if I said something inappropriate and I am so sorry that it came across as such because I would never say that on the air in a broadcast."
Henderson ended up finishing T13.
New Zealand's Lydia Ko won the gold medal.
Pressel became the youngest ever winner of a modern LPGA major when capturing the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2007 aged 18.
It marked her first title as a professional.
In 2021 after enduring a number of tough seasons on the LPGA Tour, Pressel announced she was working for NBC and Golf Channel.
Despite her rapid early rise on the LPGA Tour, Pressel has only won twice.
She won her second LPGA Tour title at the 2008 Kapalua LPGA Classic.
