PGA Tour vs LIV Golf match confirmed: McIlroy & Scheffler vs Koepka vs DeChambeau
Report: Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler will battle Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in made-for-TV match in Vegas this December.
Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler will compete against Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in a blockbuster PGA Tour vs LIV Golf clash on TV in December, confirms Golfweek's Eamon Lynch.
The report claims PGA Tour stars McIlroy and Scheffler will battle LIV Golf stars DeChambeau and Koepka in mid-December in Las Vegas.
This match will air on TNT, which is owned by Warner Brothers Discovery.
Previous editions of 'The Match' on TNT have included Tiger Woods vs Phil Mickelson and Koepka vs DeChambeau.
Golfweek admits at this stage it has not been confirmed whether this match will be part of 'The Match' series.
The publication states McIlroy and representatives of the other three players have all confirmed their involvement in the made-for-TV match just before Christmas.
"I’m thrilled to partner with Scottie in what promises to be an exciting duel against Bryson and Brooks in Vegas this December," McIlroy wrote in a text message to Golfweek.
"This isn’t just a contest between some of golf’s major champions; it’s an event designed to energize the fans.
"We’re all here to put on a great show and contribute to a goodwill event that brings the best together again."
Blake Smith, who represents both Scheffler and Koepka, told Golfweek: "Brooks and Scottie are very excited to be a part of this unique event and look forward to sharing more soon."
Brett Falkoff, the agent of DeChambeau, told Golfweek: "Bryson looks forward to competing in Las Vegas this December in an event that is sure to provide great entertainment for the fans."

DeChambeau and Koepka did not initially see eye to eye out on the PGA Tour.
Five-time major champion Koepka once rolled his eyes when DeChambeau walked past him during an interview.
But after they both joined LIV Golf, the pair decided to make up and became good pals.
Scheffler and McIlroy have remained loyal to the PGA Tour ever since the emergence of LIV Golf in 2022.
McIlroy has been a strong critic of all things LIV Golf over the past few years though.
Scheffler hasn't said a great deal about LIV Golf, very much keeping himself out of the spotlight and instead focusing on his game.
The runaway World No.1 captured seven official titles on the PGA Tour this season, including a second Masters in three years, en route to a first FedEx Cup title last week.
He also won a first Olympic gold medal last month.
The latest PGA Tour vs LIV Golf battle comprising Scheffler & McIlroy and DeChambeau & Koepka falls during a time when LIV Golf's bankrollers, PIF, are still in talks with the PGA Tour on a new commercial deal.
