Kalle Samooja, who was relegated from LIV Golf in 2024, has entered the final stage of qualifying school in a bid to earn his DP World Tour card for the forthcoming season.
Martin Kaymer's former LIV Golf teammate Kalle Samooja has entered the final stage of qualifying school in a bid to earn a DP World Tour card.
The Finnish golfer is among 155 others in Tarragona, Spain, looking to secure one of the 20 cards on offer.
Final stage of qualifying gets underway tomorrow (Friday), with the gruelling six-round process coming to a conclusion next Wednesday.
Samooja was one of three golfers who played their way onto the lucrative LIV Golf League via their inaugural Promotions event in December 2023.
But he struggled considerably and finished in the relegation zone after 13 events.
His best result with LIV came when he finished inside the top-20 in Singapore.
Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson also got the boot and is yet to reveal if his LIV Golf playing career is over.
Former PGA Tour pro Hudson Swafford was also relegated, as was Branden Grace.
