'DJ looking for that Hawk Tuah' Dustin Johnson's cheeky reply to Paulina Gretzky question

LIV Golf star Dustin Johnson gave a classic Dustin Johnson response when asked what he would most like to receive from his wife Paulina Gretzky.

Well, the actual question - which was put to him and other members of his LIV Golf team - was 'what's the male equivalent to receiving flowers?'. 

The 4 Aces GC social media team directed the question at Johnson, his caddie and brother Austin Johnson, former Masters champion Patrick Reed, his caddie Kessler Karain, Pat Perez and his caddie Michael Hartford.

Several mentioned how a box of golf balls was easily the male equivalent to receiving a bunch of flowers.

Reed's caddie had a brilliant one-liner in that it had to be 'a box of Pro V1s because just like flowers they're expensive and they don't last forever'. 

But it was Johnson's tongue-in-cheek response that drew most laughter among golf fans on X / Twitter.

The two-time major champion and former World No.1 could not help but give an honest response as to what he would most like to receive from his wife Paulina, the daughter of ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. 

While DJ did not specifically give his answer, he didn't have to since the 4 Aces GC social media team placed a dog emoji on the screen as he uttered the words 'the first thing that pops into my head I probably shouldn't say...'

He then thought better of the reply, and went with breakfast in bed.

Golf fans were quick to react to the video, with plenty stifling a laugh at DJ's response. 

'DJ always got that dog in him,' replied one fan. 

'Haha first class from DJ', commented another.

One tweeted: 'DJ looking for that Hawk Tuah'. 

Note: if you don't know what 'Hawk Tuah' means, you probably have not been on social media the past 24 hours. 

One thing DJ will be hoping for is a decent finish on LIV Golf or at The Open next month.

Despite winning early on in the LIV Golf season, Johnson has registered just one top-10 finish in his last 10 starts.

That has included two missed cuts in the majors. 

Johnson gave a hilarious response to reporters as to how he 'tweaked his back' last season.

Yes, his reply was aimed at Paulina.
