Abraham Ancer admitted he was in disbelief at Bryson DeChambeau's actions during the second round of LIV Golf Adelaide.
DeChambeau, 31, got himself into trouble at The Grange's par-5 13th hole on Saturday.
The big American blocked his tee shot right and, because his golf ball landed near some shrub, did not have a clear line of sight to the pin.
So DeChambeau decided to use a nearby balcony to grab a yardage with his rangefinder.
"Myself and DJ [Dustin Johnson], we were in disbelief," DeChambeau's playing partner Ancer told reporters after firing a 5-under 67.
"Then I see him in the house on the balcony. I had no idea what was going on."
In the end, DeChambeau decided that his best course of action was to chip out sideways. He almost saved par.
