Newly-crowned DP World Tour winner Richard Mansell says his wife Ellie and his team never stopped believing in him when he had given up.
Mansell claimed his maiden title on the European-based circuit at the Porsche Singapore Classic.
The 29-year-old reached a 72-hole total of 16-under par to clinch a one-stroke victory over Japan's Keita Nakajima.
Mansell, who made his Tour debut in 2021, took the lead with five holes to go before Nakajima made a flurry of birdies to pile on the pressure.
The Englishman, who had new caddie David Kenny on the bag this week, then avoided a playoff by two-putting from 100 feet for birdie on the 18th.
An emotional Mansell admitted when he had got into contention after 54 holes in the past he always got ahead of himself.
"It means that much more," he said.
"In 2022 I had quite a few close calls and didn't get it done.
"Looking back on it, I probably should have kept doing what I was doing and it probably would have happened a lot sooner.
"But I went searching, I tried to change and I became quite good at pointing the finger, blaming other people why it hadn't happened.

"I started just not enjoying it as much and I just got a little bit lost from where I'd actually come from.
"It's taken a lot of work these past six months. Ellie, my wife, has been so supportive.
"So many people have supported me and believed in me when I stopped doing it myself."
Elsewhere, LIV Golf recruit Tom McKibbin finished in a tie for third with Adrien Saddier on 14-under.
Robert MacIntyre, who missed a one-foot putt in the opening round, finished also finished inside the top-10.
