Rory McIlroy will begin the new year with back-to-back events on the DP World Tour.
On 31 November, McIlroy committed to the inaugural Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort. It will be played over January 11-14.
A week later, will attempt to win the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club.
He would become the first four-time winner of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic if he defends his title.
McIlroy, who bagged four points for Europe in their Ryder Cup victory in September, is currently the reigning European No.1.
He leads to the Race to Dubai Rankings and is vying to win the season-long points race for a record fifth time.
McIlroy won Race to Dubai titles in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2022. In two weeks' time he will play the DP World Tour Championship.
"I'm really excited to start my year at the Dubai Invitational," said McIlroy.
"I've always enjoyed coming back to Dubai to set up my season and with a pro-am format, this tournament is going to be an enjoyable week."
McIlroy was referring to the fact that the Dubai Invitational, which represents the first event on the International Swing of the reimagined DP World Tour schedule, consists of 60 professional golfers and 60 amateurs.
The tournament will be played bi-annually.
He added: "Dubai Creek Resort is a fantastic course and given the support we get in Dubai from the fans, I'm sure they are going to make it another great week on the golfing calendar."
