Open de España prize money: How much they're playing for in Madrid
Open de España prize money: Check out how much Jon Rahm and others are playing for as the DP World Tour heads to Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
The DP World Tour heads to Madrid for the Open de Espana.
Jon Rahm headlines the event, making his first start on the DP World Tour in 2024 having joined LIV Golf last December.
LIV's individual champion needs to play this event and two others on the European-based circuit by the end of the year to retain Ryder Cup eligibility.
Rahm is also joined in the field this week by his Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton.
The pair's European Ryder Cup teammates Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood are also in the field.
Rahm has won his home open three times.
The last of which came in 2022 when he equalled the late, great Seve Ballesteros' haul of three victories.
As ever, there is a huge amount of prize money up for grabs this week.
The Open de Espana is not a Rolex Series event, but there is still a healthy purse of $3.25m.
That means the winner will walk away with $552,500 this week.
That is the same amount Matthieu Pavon won 12 months ago when he claimed his maiden title on the Tour.
GolfMagic has listed all of the payout information below for the Open de Espana.
