Will Zalatoris confirms what we all know about Tom Kim with heart-warming story
Will Zalatoris was an injured spectator at the Presidents Cup, hoping Team USA could topple the International team that included the exciting Tom Kim...
Since securing his debut win on the PGA Tour last season, Tom Kim has thrown himself into Tour life in more ways than one as he revealed earlier this week at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
The 20-year-old told the media in Hawaii that he spent Christmas Day with Jordan Spieth, his wife Annie and their son Sammy. Kim thoroughly enjoyed babysitting the Spieth couple's first child.
Kim, a two-time winner on the circuit following his victory at the Shriners Children's Open, has rented a property in Texas near Spieth and not far from Will Zalatoris too, who lives in Dallas.
Zalatoris, who hasn't played on the Tour since withdrawing from the BMW Championship with a back injury, revealed on Friday that he wrote a reference for Kim to help him join Dallas National Golf Club.
The 26-year-old referred to one story he used in his letter of recommendation for the South Korean which took him back to the Presidents Cup in September, which Team USA won for the ninth time in a row at Quail Hollow.

"They said, Well, you know, what's he like? And I said, Well, this pretty much sums it up," Zalatoris began.
"When I went and watched the first day of the Presidents Cup, it was like the fourth hole. I was trying to stay out of everybody's way, even though I was inside the ropes.
"K.H. Lee was hitting a shot, and Tom came 40 yards off the tee to come over and say hi and check in on me, and I'm like, Dude, your playing in the Presidents Cup. You don't need to say hi to me.
"So that pretty much sums him up. He's so good for us. He's such a great dude, and I look forward to playing some games with him at home.
"Literally, it was like two sentences, like, he needs to be here. He's the best. We need to have him."
This is just another story that tells us what sort of character Kim is. As well as being one of the hottest prospects in the game, he has a fantastic attitude and seems a pleasure to be around.
Kim provided one of the highlights of day one of the Sentry Tournament of Champions this week, holing out for an eagle from the middle of the fairway on the par-4 6th hole.
He carded a 69 on Friday in Kapalua to reach 12-under. He is just four shots behind Collin Morikawa with the weekend to go in Hawaii.
