Scott Piercy becomes latest player to sign for wrong scorecard on PGA TOUR
It is becoming a growing concern that players are failing to sign for correct scorecards, as this is the third case in the last five PGA Tour events.

Scott Piercy missed the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge after finishing on 4-over-par at Colonial Country Club, but his failure to sign for a correct score meant that he was withdrawn from the tournament.
The 42-year-old, who missed the cut set at 1-over-par in Fort Worth, is just the latest player to be disqualified for breaking this rule and it has become a concerning trend on the PGA Tour.
Y. E. Yang was disqualified for signing for a wrong score at Kiawah Island at last week's PGA Championship, the tournament that he won in 2009.
Scott Harrington was also given the same treatment at the Valspar Championship this season, but he also missed the cut that week at the Copperhead Course.
Another worrying trend that is consistent with this string of disqualifications is that each of these players missed the cut and this could mean that there was clear neglect to record the correct scores.
Back in April, Matthew Wolff was withdrawn from The Masters for writing down an incorrect score on his card as well. It has been a season of mishaps that have to stop.
Many young golfers around the world see players on the PGA Tour as role models and people who set examples and not people who neglect basic golf course duties when they aren't playing as well as they want to.
