QBE Shootout: What's in the bags of champions Kevin Na and Jason Kokrak?

The final round of the QBE Shootout was extremely exciting as a number of pairs had a big chance to claim the winner's trophy at Tiburon Golf Club.

But it was Kevin Na and Jason Kokrak who took the tournament by the scruff of the neck. Despite starting Sunday three shots behind Jason Day and Marc Leishman, they made nine consecutive birdies from hole 6 to 14.

The American duo also birdied 12 of their last 13 holes to card an incredible better-ball score of 60. They began the day on 21-under-par and they finished on 33-under-par, one shot ahead of Sam Burns and Billy Horschel.

Since October 2020, Kokrak was won four times on the PGA Tour, but for much of the last round in Florida, he relied on Na's individual brilliance.

"We got off to a poor start and we kept telling ourselves that there were plenty of birdie holes out there, kind of kept cheering for each other and it happens sometimes," Na said.

"I started making some birdies and we got hot. I looked over man and I said 'when are you going to show up?' He said I'll be there on the back nine when you really need me and he did. We ham-and-egged it nicely."
