PGA Tour: How much did Max Homa win at the Farmers Insurance Open?
Max Homa banked himself another winner's cheque at the Farmers Insurance Open as he continues to establish himself as one of the highest-performing players in the world.
Max Homa's birdie putt on the final hole on the South Course at Torrey Pines on Saturday earned him over $1.5 million. Winning is becoming a healthy habit for the 32-year-old on the PGA Tour.
He carded a fantastic final-round score of 66 to come from five shots behind from the start of the day. As Homa said afterwards, it was a stacked leaderboard at the Farmers Insurance Open with a number of top players gunning for glory.
Homa finished two shots clear of former PGA champion Keegan Bradley and three clear of two-time major champion Collin Morikawa. It was his sixth Tour title and his first since the Fortinet Championship at the start of the season.
The prize money on offer in California was $8.7 million and to be exact, Homa won $1,566,000 of that total. Bradley banked just short of $950,000 for his troubles.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has a prize fund of $9 million next week. Homa isn't in the field at the famous venue but spectators will have the chance to see Jordan Spieth, Matt Fitzpatrick and Viktor Hovland tee it up.
The WM Phoenix Open, which begins on February 9, is the next Elevated Event which features a huge $20 million prize purse as part of the PGA Tour's significant expansion of the 2023 schedule.
