How much Scottie Scheffler, others won at WM Phoenix Open
Scottie Scheffler claimed the PGA Tour's 'elevated' WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, securing a $3.6m pay day. This is how much every player won.
Scottie Scheffler tasted victory once again at the Waste Management Phoenix Open on the PGA Tour.
Not only did he defend the title he won 12 months ago, Scheffler also returned to the top spot in the OWGR.
Oh, and he won a whopping $3.6m.
That makes him the winningest player in Phoenix Open history and takes him to $29m (!) in earnings over the last year.
That year included five victories, 14 top-10s. And a green jacket.
Quite a year. No wonder he couldn't quite put it into perspective what he had achieved in the immediate aftermath of victory.
If you didn't know, the stop at TPC Scottsdale was an elevated event, boasting a total prize purse of $20m.
Of course, these increased prize purses were created rival those on offer in the LIV Golf League.
The elevated events were created with a view to getting the best players in the world competing against each other more often.
Which makes Scheffler's victory in Phoenix all the more impressive.
Just some of the names Scheffler beat include Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Tyrrell Hatton, Sungjae Im, Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama.

For context, bear in mind that the single largest pay cheque Jack Nicklaus ever claimed was for $144,000 when he triumphed at the 1986 Masters.
How times have changed.
The next elevated event is next week's Genesis Invitational at Riviera.
Tiger Woods' foundation is the tournament host. And to the surprise of many, Woods has confirmed he will be playing.
