Golf fans react to Phil Mickelson's tweet on his wife's BIRTHDAY
Phil Mickelson wished his wife Amy a happy birthday on social media in a way only Mickelson knows how...
Phil Mickelson has been married to his wife Amy since 1996 and the Mickelson family have often been present when he has won tournaments on the PGA Tour.
The 50-year-old's win at the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island was made all the more poignant as his brother Tim was caddying for him, with who he has always shared a close bond.
The six-time major winner and his wife, who met way back in 1992 when the pair attended Arizona State University, have two daughters and a son together.
It’s Amy’s birthday today and I am so lucky to have spent the last 29 years together. Her smile, laughter, kindness, love, thoughtfulness, and support have been the greatest gift of my life.
She is so FINE, she makes turning 49, simply DIVINE— Phil Mickelson (@PhilMickelson) May 31, 2021
The couple has been through so much together. In 2009, Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer but after an 11-month battle, Amy beat it and is now of full health.
For her birthday yesterday, Mickelson took to Twitter and posted a heartfelt message to his wife, with an added comical element at the end.
Lefty has always been one to engage with his fans and provide them with entertainment and it seems his latest major victory has added another spring to his step.
Golf fans reacted to his birthday tweet:
I will never forget the 2002 US Open at Bethpage Black. I was a standard bearer and was in a van with Amy during one of the many rain delays. She asked me who my favorite golfer was. I said Phil Mickelson, she said, "me too." Still following you Phil, Happy Birthday Amy!!

Please don’t quit your day job launching ‘s, Phil. Poetry and math not in your wheel house. Benefit of the doubt, 49 was a fat fingered typo for 29..
