Golf fans FUMING with PGA Tour over featured groups
The featured groups for this week's Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village have sparked a debate on social media.
On Monday, the PGA Tour announced the 'featured groups' for this week's Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village and it has caused a widespread debate on Twitter, with the majority of golf fans extremely disappointed.
After Collin Morikawa's victory at Muirfield last week, the PGA Tour returns to the famous Ohio track for the second week in-a-row and a star-studded field, that includes Tiger Woods, will battle it out for a total prize purse of $9.3 million.
The PGA Tour tweeted the featured groups and the one that caught everyone's attention was the group that sees Woods join World No.1 Rory McIlroy and four-time major winner Brooks Koepka.

Phil Mickelson will tee it up with Justin Rose and Open champion Shane Lowry, whilst the PGA Tour's big-hitter Bryson DeChambeau will play alongside Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay.
The final featured group is an American trio of Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele.
Golf fans were quick to respond with many feeling disappointed that the PGA Tour hadn't put DeChambeau and Koepka in the same group, following Koepka's recent dig at his Ryder Cup teammate, where he indirectly accused DeChambeau of being on steroids.

"Such a missed opportunity to get DeChambeau and Koepka together and together. I know the PGA Tour is supposed to create playing opportunities, but missing this pairing just means they don’t care about growing their audience. Right?"
"It's so frustrating. They are their own worst enemy. How much fun would Bubba, Bryson, and Brooks as a threesome be?"
"Is this 2010? A paid service to watch Phil Rose and Lowry is laughable. These groups are consistently marketed as though the target demographic is a casual weekend golf watcher. People that pay for this service want to see the best players, not names our parents may recognize."
"What a joke organization not putting Koepka/Bryson together."
"Mate this looks sooo sexy! Every group is unreal!"
"Shane Lowry instead of Rahm, Webb or Hovland??? Cmon."
"Lowry is a great golfer to watch with an awesome short game. Nice to see someone different."
"You blew it not putting Bryson with Brooks and Tiger"
"Who the hell wants to watch Rose Phil and Lowry"
"This is such a miss. Should have paired Bryson and Brooks. Would LOVE one good reason from the PGA Tour as to why they always hide from what fans want to see."
"How on Earth do you not have Bryson and Brooks paired together???????? I would go out of my way to tune in for that."
