Golf Betting Tips: Sahith Theegala to bounce back at John Deere Classic?
Sahith Theegala suffered heartbreak again on the PGA Tour at the Travelers Championship, but could he put that right at TPC Deere Run?
GolfMagic picked out a huge each-way selection with Nick Hardy at 125/1 at the Travelers Championship. The American finished tied eighth at TPC River Highlands, eight shots behind Xander Schauffele who prevailed after a late collapse from Sahith Theegala. Matt and Andy are back with four fresh selections for the John Deere Classic this week.
The John Deere Classic may not have one of the strongest PGA Tour fields, but it is all to play for with three spots up for grabs for The 150th Open Championship.
The likes of Adam Hadwin and Steve Stricker will be looking to secure a place in the field, while the likes of Nick Hardy, Sahith Theegala, Webb Simpson and Jason Day are also teeing it up at TPC Deere Run.
Former US Open champion Lucas Glover won this event last year which was his third win in three different decades on the PGA Tour. He birdied five of the last seven holes to beat Kevin Na and Ryan Moore by two shots.
Matt and Andy have got four new selections for the 2022 John Deere Classic including big prices of 22/1 and 40/1.

Sahith Theegala has been on the brink of winning twice this season, losing his chances in key moments at the WM Phoenix Open and the Travelers Championship. He has made five top-10s in 2022 and the 24-year-old has earned $2,430,919 in the process. He has made more birdies than any other player on the PGA Tour (328) and he has reached 66th in the world rankings in what has been a breakthrough year for the rookie.
Cam Davis has made three top-10s in 19 events this season, including a tied-third finish at the RBC Heritage. The Australian is ranked 23rd in one-putt percentage and ranked eighth in eagles per hole in 2022. He won his first PGA Tour event at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last season and he will certainly be capable of going low at TPC Deere Run this week.
Webb Simpson has only made one top-10 this season, but he showed improvement with a tied-13th finish at the Travelers Championship. The former US Open champion could take advantage of the weaker field at TPC Deere Run and he is ranked in the top 50 in total strokes gained, strokes gained around the green and strokes gained from tee to green.
Adam Hadwin impressively finished tied seventh at the US Open two weeks ago which was his fifth top-10 of the season. He is ranked 12th in strokes gained around the green and 14th in sand save percentage, so his strengths clearly lie in his short game. He will be one of the many competing for a spot in The Open Championship and he is currently the second favourite to win his second PGA Tour title.
