Eddie Pepperell reveals 'most miserable' PGA Tour pro: "I got nothing"
England's Eddie Pepperell has revealed who he believes is 'the most miserable' PGA Tour pro in the latest episode of his podcast.
England's Eddie Pepperell claims Jimmy Walker was the 'most miserable' PGA Tour pro he's ever played with.
Pepperell made the claim in the second episode of his brand new podcast, The Chipping Forecast, alongside Sky Sports commentator Andrew Coltart and golf journalist Iain Carter.
The panel were discussing the most recent US Open and it was suggested Walker's 2016 win at Oakmont Country Club was one of the least memorable in the history of the major.

"Fun fact about Jimmy Walker, I'll just say, he is the most miserable golfer I have ever played with," Pepperell said.
Coltart jokingly suggested he was the most miserable to play with, of which Pepperell continued: "Yeah but Andrew, he would take you to... [a new level]. I know he's had some health issues."
The Englishman was referring to Walker's battle with Lyme disease. Walker is now on the comeback trail but is still struggling somewhat on the course, having missed 10 cuts in 2023 including the PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
Pepperell was asked to elaborate on Walker. Does he just not talk? "Oh, he's remarkably miserable," said Pepperell.

Easy to forget how good Jimmy Walker was a few years ago. Good to see him playing so well again.
I did play with him in 2019 and he was extraordinarily miserable. Like, worryingly miserable. Anyway, I hope he’s feeling happier now.— Eddie Pepperell (@PepperellEddie) April 15, 2023
"Rory is unfairly criticised"
Pepperell also reckons Rory McIlroy is unfairly criticised when it comes to the major championships.
We're sure you're aware McIlroy experienced more heartbreak at the 2023 US Open. His putter stopped co-operating on the final day at Los Angeles Country Club and he was pipped by Wyndham Clark.
Pepperell highlighted the fact that there was similar scrutiny on the likes of Lee Westwood and Colin Montgomerie throughout their careers.
He continued:
McIlroy is the betting favourite to claim his fifth major at the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool.
What are your thoughts? Will McIlroy finally break his major hoodoo?!
