WATCH: When Sergio Garcia nearly hit the most expensive drive in history!
Three years ago at the WGC-Bridgestone, Sergio's tee shot almost cost him way more than a dropped shot.
Sergio Garcia knows a thing or two about wedding rings, and not just because he got married to Angela Akins last week.
Three years ago this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Garcia struck a tee shot down the par-4 third that was very nearly the most expensive of all time as the Spaniard hit a spectator on her wedding ring.
As a result of the ball smacking into her finger, the diamond from her ring fell off and into the rough. Yes, a diamond in the rough.

Ever the gentleman, Garcia walked over and not only apologised and signed a golf ball, but he also told one of the marshals to get her contact details for him to pay for the damage.
Thankfully for Garcia he didn't have to worry as moments later the diamond was found.
