Tiger Woods pulls out of Arnold Palmer Invitational
Tiger forced to pull out of Bay Hill due to injury.
The Arnold Palmer Invitational has always been a tournament that Tiger Woods has loved over the years and everyone was excited to see him back in action at Bay Hill this week. Unfortunately, Tiger has pulled out of the event and hopes to be back in action for The Players Championship next week.
Tiger was going into the Arnold Palmer Invitational as one of the hot favourites to win the event, with just Rory McIlroy in front of him in most bookmakers.
On Monday evening, Tiger took to Twitter to announce that he won't be playing this week due to injury, but fear not, it's nothing to do with his back fortunately and the 14-time major winner hopes to be back next week:
1) Unfortunately due to a neck strain that I’ve had for a few weeks, I'm forced to withdraw from the API. I’ve been receiving treatment, but it hasn't improved enough to play. My lower back is fine, and I have no long-term concerns, and I hope to be ready for The Players.

2) I'd like to send my regrets to the Palmer family and the Orlando fans. Its connection to Arnold makes it one of my favorite tournaments and I'm disappointed to miss it.
