We've all been there. An early 8am tee-time on little to no sleep, and for some us, a banging hangover. Lee Westwood experienced the first of that anyway on day one of the KLM Open.

Westwood bounced back from an awful 3-over start after four holes, having started on the 10th, with a respectable 3-under 68 - the same score as his playing partner Padraig Harrington.

The Englishman, who will act as one of Thomas Bjorn's vice captains for the Ryder Cup in two weeks' time, admitted to a rough night's sleep not helping matters. But it's amazing what a 50-foot birdie putt can do...

England's Chris Wood clearly did get a good night's sleep as he raced to the top of the leaderboard in the morning wave with a 6-under 65.

What's the least amount of sleep you've played golf on? Any good stories? We'd love to hear about it over on our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
