TaylorMade host FA golf day.

GOLFmagic were lucky enough to be invited to the FA golf day, hosted by Taylor Made, at the Bearwood Lakes G.C near Wokingham. TaylorMade host FA golf day.All the football players turned out in the morning for a photoshoot, before the non-golfers (about 5 of them) departed to relax in other ways.

The day started with a press conference from Kevin Keegan, which focused largely on golf, and very little on the forth coming England friendlies, and Euro 2000. TaylorMade host FA golf day. Keegan named Alan Shearer, Michael Owen, and Kevin Phillips as some of the best strikers (of the ball), and hence some of the lower handicappers. Mr Keegan described himself as a 6 handicap, going on 16 !!

As well as the England squad, and members of the golfing press, three of the Taylor Made tour pro's turned out for the event - Justin Rose, Ian Garbutt, and Paul McGinely. It gave us a chance to talk to the pro's, so look out for the forthcoming Taylor Made tour player profiles.

The event took the form of a fourball team stableford. It was won by the quartet of Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, David Hill-Wood (FA), and Ewan Inglis (Bearwood Lakes). Not suprising really, with Scholes shooting a 4 over par gross, off a handicap of 20 !
