Phelps throws club at St Andrews
Olympic swimming legend spotted hurling driver over his head on Haney Project

Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps was spotted tossing his driver at St Andrews in a one-armed-butterfly motion during filming of The Haney Project on the Golf Channel.
The 18-time Olympic gold medallist, who has quit swimming to spend more time playing golf, is seen to jump off his left leg while slinging the club over his head following a bad drive in front of the cameras.
His teacher Hank Haney was not impressed: “That wasn’t even a good attempt at being mad.”
While we certainly don’t condone this sort of behaviour, Haney is right, it was a rather lame effort when you consider the one from Sergio Garcia.
