McDowell joins Team Stuburt
Ulsterman to wear rainwear and shoes
Ryder Cup star Graeme McDowell has joined Team Stuburt to wear the golf wear manufacturers clothing and shoes. Known fondly as 'G-Mac' the Northern Ireland player has joined fellow Ulstermen Gareth Maybin and Darren Clarke, and European Ladies Tour veteran Trish Johnson as a Stuburt ambassador. He recently replaced Tiger Woods at the Chevron World Challenge and finished a close second to Jim Furyk. In 2008 he had victories at the Barclays Scottish Open and Ballantine’s Championship in Korea before making his debut for the European Ryder Cup team at Valhalla, USA. In 2009, he enjoyed top 20 finishes at the US Masters, US Open andUS PGA on his way to finishing the season ranked No.51 in the world and 33rd in the Race to Dubai European rankings. Graeme Stevens, Stuburt’s managing director, commented: “We’re delighted to have signed a world class player. He fits the Stuburt brand perfectly and coupled with our launch into apparel market and other Tour signings, it demonstrates our intentions for 2010.” Stuburt plans to reveal its latest apparel collection alongside its award-winning footwear and rainwear at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, Orlando, in January. |
