Cobra launches limited edition Tour Trusty wedge
New wedge stamped by Rickie Fowler himself
A Cobra Limited Edition Tour quality wedge featuring a stamping design created by Cobra Puma staffer Rickie Fowler hit the stores this week.
Cobra’s all new Tour Trusty wedge is designed to perform at the highest level delivering versatility, feel and control.
The brand’s R&D team worked closely with players such as Fowler, Ian Poulter and Jonas Blixt to develop the all new Tour Trusty wedge. Using our Tour Players’ feedback, Cobra has designed a top performing wedge that will perform for the most elite golfers.
The prototype tear drop, non-offset compact shaping delivers excellent alignment at address and the groove edges and volume have been maximized to the USGA allowable limit.
Cobra’s new Tour notch K-Grind provides maximum heel and toe relief for Tour-trusted versatility around the greens. This combination allows golfers to hone in around the green for optimised shot making.
The proprietary Variable Feed Rate (VFR) milling maximises spin on even the shortest of shot, while the maximised surface roughness provides workable spin so golfers can nail the trickiest of shots around the green.
The limited edition version will be available in a 55-degree loft and feature a one-of-a-kind stamping designed by Fowler at the Cobra Puma Headquarters in Carlsbad. Only 1,600 of the Limited Edition Tour Trusty will be available worldwide.
The Tour Trusty is made of Cast 8620 Carbon Steel that is nickel plated and finished in matte satin. This does more than just make a pretty wedge – it provides excellent feel and reduces glare for the golfer.
The wedge is available at £99 in right handed models, featuring a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet BCT Cord grip.
