DeChambeau enjoying the new rules for 2019
Bryson DeChambeau kept his word on putting with the flag in for 2019.
With the new USGA rules in full swing, everyone is still coming to terms with what's different for 2019 and some are using them to their advantage more than others...
DeChambeau is known for having his own unique style on the golf course, but it's clearly working for The Scientist and many believe - including members of GolfMagic - that he is heading straight to the top this year.
Yesterday marked round one of the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua’s Plantation Course in Hawaii and DeChambeau got off to quite the start. He made six birdies and carded a four-under first round, leaving him in a strong position of T6.
Before the new rules came in to play, DeChambeau had said on multiple occasions that he will be putting with the flag in and he did just that yesterday. Watch below as The Scientist makes use of one of the new rules changes for 2019:
