Another LIV Golf player FORCED OUT of The Masters

A second member of Greg Norman's LIV Golf league has withdrawn from the Masters Tournament after 2012 runner-up Louis Oosthuizen tapped out of the tournament on Saturday.

The South African withdrew from the season's first major due to injury following the completion of 17 holes in his second round. The 40-year-old was 3-over in the round and 7-over par for the tournament.

Oosthuizen was one of 18 LIV Golf players participating in The Masters this week. That number is already down to 16 prior to the 36-hole cut as Kevin Na had withdrawn earlier in the tournament.

Another LIV Golf player FORCED OUT of The Masters

The 2010 Open champion joined LIV Golf ahead of its inaugural London tournament last year. He's one of many South African professionals who've joined the league including Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace

Oosthuizen's lacked consistency since joining LIV Golf. He finished 42nd in the first event this year, then fourth, and then 42nd again at the Orlando tournament last week.

He's had a good history at Augusta National, finishing as high as runner-up in 2012 and making eight consecutive cuts between 2014 and 2021. He has now withdrawn from the tournament two years in a row, after tapping out following the first round in 2022 as well. He was 76 after 18 holes when he withdrew that time.

His fellow LIV Golf player Brooks Koepka is currently leading The Masters at 12-under as the second round resumed Saturday morning after play was suspended due to weather on Friday. Jon Rahm was still out on the course at 9-under par while Amateur Sam Bennett continued to impress and was in at 8-under.

Will Zalatoris also withdrew earlier in the tournament.
