RUMOUR: Brooks Koepka "actively recruiting" PGA Tour star to join LIV Golf
LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka is rumoured to be going after major champion Gary Woodland after losing Matt Wolff on Smash GC.
LIV Golf's Brooks Koepka is said to be "actively recruiting" PGA Tour star and former US Open champion Gary Woodland to join his Smash GC, according to a popular LIV Golf fan page.
Koepka, who won his third US PGA Championship last month, is looking to recruit a fourth member before the next LIV Golf tournament in Spain at the end of June after Matt Wolff departed his team this week.
There was said to be a "clash of personalities" between Koepka and Wolff, which was the sole reason for Wolff being forced out of Smash GC after his withdrawal from the final round of LIV Golf DC.
Koepka's Smash GC also includes his brother Chase and Jason Kokrak.

Wolff was traded from Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers GC to Koepka's Smash GC at the start of this year's LIV Golf League.
It is believed Wolff is now looking for a new LIV Golf team ahead of the next event at Valderrama in four weeks' time.
According to LIV Golf Nation on Twitter, five-time major champion Koepka, 33, is trying to persuade his good friend and 2019 US Open champion Woodland, 39, to drop life on the PGA Tour and come and join his Smash GC.
Koepka and Woodland both came under fire at The Masters in April.
That was because Koepka appeared to signal 'five' to Woodland and his caddie on the par-5 15th in reference to which club he was hitting into the green.
On replay of the TV footage during round one of The Masters, it also appeared as though Koepka's caddie Elliott said 'five' two times to Woodland's caddie Brennan Little.
So much of the LIV players being treated poorly by #TheMasters
First round leader Brooks Koepka should have been penalized 2 shots for his caddie giving advice to a competitor. The video evidence couldn’t be more clear, but the players lied, so @TheMasters decided no penalty. pic.twitter.com/y8UPG2gDs2— John Ziegler (@Zigmanfreud) April 6, 2023
The video was reviewed by tournament officials at Augusta National, but no penalties were awarded.
Paul McGinley was staggered by that call.
Smash GC was also in the news last week following a shock rumour about Nike's $2 billion takeover of the team.

It would appear as though Koepka wants his team to be hitting the gym early doors after they finished bottom of the pile in DC.
Maybe that life wasn't for Wolff?
Perhaps it will be for Woodland.
