LIV Golf boss confirms twist to 2023 season as he teases FOUR new recruits
LIV Golf are reportedly in the process of making sure all of their recruits for the 2023 season are signed before the end of this year.
LIV Golf's inaugural $255m season in the books and it appears that Pat Perez may have had the last laugh.
Attention will now turn to 2023 where LIV Golf will rebrand to the LIV Golf League with as many as 60 players involved.
There will be 14 stops globally and $405m will be given away in prize money by LIV's wealthy Saudi backers through the Public Investment Fund.
It cannot be understated the huge impact LIV Golf has had on the game. The PGA Tour were forced to delve into their pockets, even though that has ruffled some feathers which has caused "concern and upset" from sponsors according to this memo.

LIV Golf have signed the likes of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, Patrick Reed, Henrik Stenson, Louis Oosthuizen, Joaquin Niemann, Paul Casey, Graeme McDowell and Martin Kaymer.
Throughout their eight-event season there has been huge speculation about who will be the next.
There have been some surprising names touted. Even Jon Rahm was reportedly touted as mulling an offer. Two-time major champion Collin Morikawa has also had to bat away suggestions he could leave the PGA Tour.
Going forward, it appears LIV Golf don't want to be a disrupter in this regard. According to their chief operating officer Atul Khosla, all of their new recruits will be finalised by the end of the year.
They are reportedly in discussions with several players. That's not exactly surprising, considering Mickelson previously confirmed all players inside the top 100 were approached before LIV Golf's launch.
That was before he almost brought down the whole show.
Khosla said at LIV Golf Miami:
According to one of the BBC's sources, they believe that as many as four players inside the world's top-15 are planning on ditching the PGA Tour.
It has been suggested that Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay will be the next players to join. The Guardian reported over the weekend that Adam Scott and father-to-be Thomas Pieters are also mulling offers.
Scott has previously joked with Cam Smith about joining, urging the Australian to "make me an offer".

Like this year, in 2023 fields will be split into 12 four-man line-ups who will compete in a team league. This team element runs alongside $20m individual events, and is worth an additional $5m per tournament and culminates in a $50m finale.
Another interesting element for LIV Golf in 2023 will be the inclusion of a transfer window, allowing trading between line-ups along with promised newcomers.
