LIV Golf Adelaide: Everything you need to know
LIV Golf League Adelaide at The Grange: Shotgun start time, teams, players, news, prize purse, individual and team payout information.
The LIV Golf League is set to return, making its first appearance in Australia after two of their star players nearly caused an upset at The Masters.
LIV Golf Adelaide is the fourth of 14 tournaments in 2023. It will take place over 21-23 April at The Grange Golf Club in South Australia.
As is standard in LIV, there will be a 48-man individual competition with the players also competing separately in established teams of four.
The total prize purse is $25m, with the winner individual winner taking home a whopping $4m and the winning team splitting $3m.
The shotgun start for rounds one and two will be at 11.45am local time and 11.15am in the third and final round.
A record-breaking attendance is expected in Australia. A large chunk of the appeal will be the all-Australian Ripper GC side.
The big news ahead of LIV Golf Adeliade is that there will be a Party Hole on the 12th.
That team is skippered by 2022 Open champion Cameron Smith, who joined the breakaway tour last summer for a reported $140m fee.
Smith has already had a happy homecoming, having won the Australian PGA Championship last November.
Storylines:
Charles Howell III currently leads the individual standings on 56 points, four ahead of Peter Uihlein.
LIV's inaugural individual champion, Dustin Johnson, has been somewhat off the pace this year and is currently ranked 13th in the standings.
Brooks Koepka moved into the top five players on the circuit with his win in Orlando before The Masters.
Phil Mickelson is one of eight players who is yet to register a single point in the individual standings.
Languishing at the bottom of the table is Sihwan Kim, who boasts a truly shocking score to par in LIV Golf events this year.
In the team standings, Johnson's 4 Aces have a 14-point lead over Joaquin Niemann's Torque GC. Sergio Garcia's Fireballs GC are third.
Bottom of the table are Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC.
