BMW Championship Viewers Guide: Round 1 groups and UK tee times
Check out the groups, UK tee times and what time you can watch all the action for the BMW Championship, the second Playoff event of the FedEx Cup.
The second stop on the FedEx Cup Playoffs kicks off this week, as the top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings battle it out for the BMW Championship at Medinah Country Club near Chicago. In previous years, the BMW Championship was the third Playoff event, but the Dell Technologies Championship no longer exists, so it now comes after the Northern Trust and is still the last chance for the players outside the top 30 to qualify for the Tour Championship.
Some big players currently sit outside the top 30 and will need a big performance at Medinah if they are to qualify for the Tour Championship. Tiger Woods, who withdrew himself from The Northern Trust, has dropped to 38th in the standings, 97 points behind Andrew Putnamwho currently holds the 30th position.
Jordan Spieth sat in 69th before The Northern Trust at Liberty National and looked like he had ruined his chances with a poor third round, but he bounced back on the final day, shooting four under and leaving him in T6 for the tournament. Spieth is now 44th in the FedEx Cup rankings and it's projected that Spieth will need to finish ninth or better to finish inside the top 30 and guarentee his spot in the Tour Championship.
